Morning everyone!
Gosh, two posts in one week! that's pretty amazing for me :)
I just wanted to drop by and say a HUGE thank you to everyone who left such lovely comments on my blog and facebook page about our craft stall (see previous post :)
They were all so lovely, thank you so much!!!
It's such a horrible damp morning here today, so thought it would be a good idea to press on with some craftyness, in readiness for Fridays craft fair.
Not to mention having to replace some snowman soup that was eariler scoffed by the dog!
I don't know about you, but I sometimes find the whole Christmas gift giving thing each year a little stressful.
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE to give gifts, but really don't like the whole rush, dash and panic sense that seems to go with it, not to mention the huge expense!
This year, I decided to take a different appraoch, so thought I would make some of my own gifts (where possible :)
I personally love handmade things (think you might have already guessed that!)
But generally think there is a lot more love and thought in a handmade gift then a set of boxed smellies (nice smellies, being the exception ofcourse :)
Earlier this year, my sister had her first baby, a beautiful little girl!
She was very fortunate and was showered with so many beautiful gifts, that I'm sure will take her up to her 1st birthday and beyond!
So, with this in mind, I decided to make baby Andrea's 1st Christmas gift from us, something a little different, which I hope she will grow to love and treasure once all the other bits and bobs have been outgrown :)
Here is our little gift to baby Andrea.
A little fabric Russian Dolly, filled to the brim with comforting lavender.
Just need to finish her off, as she currently has a pin still stuck in her bottom (sorry dolly!) but once removed and properly stitched she should be a better shape, and lovely and cuddly ...
And here are some of those little fabric kittens I mentioned in my last post.
Thank you so much to the lovely Sandy Leigh for letting me use her wonderful template :) Hope you like them, they are filled with lavender too!
Righty, better press on.
Hope you all have a lovely day, whatever you're up to!
Happy Crafting!

Our craft stall success, with lots of pics! :)
A BIG hello to all my lovely followers!
How are you? Sorry it's been a while, but I've been so busy recently preparing for a wonderful charity event, in aid of Cancer Research.
A lovely lady I know, called Jo, had very kindly decided to hold an event in her home to help raise money for this fantastic cause.
Jo had decided to run a Christmas shopping event from her home (which might I add, is absolutely STUNNING!!)it's an old converted barn, which has been beautifully restored.
Anyway.... whilst dog walking several weeks ago, Jo mentioned about her plans, and casually asked if I knew of anyone who made handmade cards and gifts?
Hmmm I thought, yes I do....ME!!!!!
With that, Jo very kindly decided to let me have a stall, along with a few other lovely crafty pals I know, so they could sell some of their beautiful handmade items too!
So without further ado, we set to work, literally!
We didn't have any "stock" (so to speak) so had to work like the clappers!! Lots of ideas buzzed around, not to mention lots of crafty mess and ooddles of hours preparing!! But we got there in the end, horray!!!
The event was last Thursday, so made it just in time, phew!!!
We had such a lovely time, and pleased to say we helped raise £720 for Cancer Research, horray again!!!
Thank you Jo and well done!! We had a wonderful day and so pleased you did too!
Plus, a big thank you too, to my two partners in crime, my two lovely crafty friends Sarah and Rachael who shared the stall with me, everything you make is scrummy!!
Here are some of the pics taken, along with some cupcakes and snowman soup I made, which were a real hit :)
The cute little snowman lables came from another lovely craft blogger, thank you so much! and the little fabric kittens, were made from a template very kindly shared by another lovely crafty blogger, thank you both!!
I promise to take a few more better pics of the fabric kittens Sandy Leigh (as I have a few left, and plan to make more!:)They are just too cute!!! Thank you so much!!!
Hope you enjoy the pics of our stall and a few of the things we made.
Oh, and BTW, a word of WARNING!!
Don't leave snowman soup where your dog can find it!
Mine did, and had a nice little midnight feast!
Needless to say, that lot got thrown away (what was left!) along with the dog too, well.... nearly, lol!
Here's some of the Snowman Soup (the ones that Barney didn't find and scoff!)
Some Lavender hearts :)
Just a few cupcakes...
And finally..... our stall!!! (which incidentally, is usually Jo's bar in her stable) It's so beautiful and cosy in there!
That's it for now folks, thanks so much for taking a peek at my blog and any comments you care to leave, they are always greatly appreciated.
Big Hugs & more soon!
