Our craft stall success, with lots of pics! :)

A BIG hello to all my lovely followers!

How are you? Sorry it's been a while, but I've been so busy recently preparing for a wonderful charity event, in aid of Cancer Research.

A lovely lady I know, called Jo, had very kindly decided to hold an event in her home to help raise money for this fantastic cause.

Jo had decided to run a Christmas shopping event from her home (which might I add, is absolutely STUNNING!!)it's an old converted barn, which has been beautifully restored.

Anyway.... whilst dog walking several weeks ago, Jo mentioned about her plans, and casually asked if I knew of anyone who made handmade cards and gifts?
Hmmm I thought, yes I do....ME!!!!!

With that, Jo very kindly decided to let me have a stall, along with a few other lovely crafty pals I know, so they could sell some of their beautiful handmade items too!

So without further ado, we set to work, literally!
We didn't have any "stock" (so to speak) so had to work like the clappers!! Lots of ideas buzzed around, not to mention lots of crafty mess and ooddles of hours preparing!! But we got there in the end, horray!!!

The event was last Thursday, so made it just in time, phew!!!
We had such a lovely time, and pleased to say we helped raise £720 for Cancer Research, horray again!!!

Thank you Jo and well done!! We had a wonderful day and so pleased you did too!
Plus, a big thank you too, to my two partners in crime, my two lovely crafty friends Sarah and Rachael who shared the stall with me, everything you make is scrummy!!

Here are some of the pics taken, along with some cupcakes and snowman soup I made, which were a real hit :)
The cute little snowman lables came from another lovely craft blogger, thank you so much! and the little fabric kittens, were made from a template very kindly shared by another lovely crafty blogger, thank you both!!
I promise to take a few more better pics of the fabric kittens Sandy Leigh (as I have a few left, and plan to make more!:)They are just too cute!!! Thank you so much!!!

Hope you enjoy the pics of our stall and a few of the things we made.

Oh, and BTW, a word of WARNING!!
Don't leave snowman soup where your dog can find it!
Mine did, and had a nice little midnight feast!
Needless to say, that lot got thrown away (what was left!) along with the dog too, well.... nearly, lol!

Here's some of the Snowman Soup (the ones that Barney didn't find and scoff!)

Some Lavender hearts :)

Just a few cupcakes...

And finally..... our stall!!! (which incidentally, is usually Jo's bar in her stable) It's so beautiful and cosy in there!

That's it for now folks, thanks so much for taking a peek at my blog and any comments you care to leave, they are always greatly appreciated.

Big Hugs & more soon!
Happy Crafting....

Busy sewing and making cupcakes, plus, a new additon to the family :)

To all my lovely followers, sorry it's been such a long time since my last post.

I could try and think of a million and one excuses, but in truth, it's far easier just to say, that life just sometimes gets in the way of all the fun stuff.

I have been busy making and baking though, and fully intend to get back into the land blogging with with you all :)

Since my last post, which by the way, Zach was absolutely delighted about (as was I) by all your wonderful and kind comments about his Smashbook, THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!
I have been super busy and have even become an Auntie, horray!!!!!!!!

With all this recent Smashing, I decided to make my beautiful baby niece a handmade baby Smashbook. I had such fun making it, as it was wonderful to play with sooooo much PINK, for a change :)
Sadly though, I forgot to take a picture of it before giving it to my sister, darn! I also made a fab grunge type mixed media mini album which took forever!!! for my sister, which again, I forgot to snap, darn again!!!!

But.... I did remember to take a few pics of some of my more recent projects made with my wonderful new love, my sewing machine!!!! Love, love, love it!!!

So far, I have made several bits and bobs, bunting, pin cushions, and a few little simple cushions. I'm also working on some pyramid mice, which are not really working out for me just yet, but have since made some scotty dogs that do :)

So here are some pics of what I've been up to, and some of the things I did remember to take photos of :) along with a picture of my beautiful baby niece who was born in July. Love you little baba!!!!

Anyway, hugs to all my lovely crafty pals, and I promise to be back soon with more, along with some plans for craft fairs and a Christmas daily journal, can't wait!!! :)

Oh, nearly forgot, have also added just a few cupcakes I made for one of my children last week for his 8th birthday party. The little flags took nearly as long to make as the cupcakes, lol!
These are the tidy pics :) but after 14 boys, yes, I did just say 14 boys (nine of which stayed the night!) the house, plus cakes, didn't look quite the same, lol!!!

Happy Crafting

Zach's Smash Book, kids love Smashing too!!! :)

Hi Everyone

Those of you that follow my blog and are friends on the FB Smash groups, will know just how much I adore Smashbooks and all things Smashy :)

I thought you would like to see my Son Zach's Smash book (who's 11) and the pages he has decorated so far.

I think it is such a wonderful way for kids to share a hobby with you, and crate and capture memories of their own, and keep things that are meaningful to them.
It's great to know they can look back in years to come, and see the things that ment so much to them as a child,
and a wonderful way to capture memories, that over the years, are so very easily forgotten.

I only wish I had had one as a child, I would soooo love to look back now, and re-capture some wonderful memories of my childhood.

My other child Robbie (who's 7) also loves Smashing too, but perhaps not as much, the Wii and Football seem that bit more appealing to him at the moment, lol! But, still he manages the odd pages now and again, and loves it when he does :)

I urge any parents out there to give this a go with their children. Remember, Smashing is for ALL ages, and such fun too!

Anyway, hope you enjoy Zach's pages, he is so chuffed with his Smash book, and would love to see your comments and encouragement.

Hugs and more soon!

My Craft Room, More Stash & my Handmade Smashbook :)

Hello to all my wonderful blog friends and family :)

It's Sunday and such a wonderful spring like day. Feeling a bit rough around the edges though, as we had friends round for dinner last night, and after a major house tidy and lots of food, drink and a rather late night, feeling very much pooped today. Oh well, thank goodness for chill out Sundays and time to recover, lol!

I thought today, I would share with you some pics of my Craft room, ofcourse I had to take full advantage and show you whilst it's tidy, as it is NEVER! usually this tidy lol!:)

I have also included more pics of my latest Smash stash purchases. Yes I know, more Smashing!! I really do have it bad! This was very naughty!!!

And finally....My handmade Smashbook!

Having recently joined a couple of Smash book groups on Facebook, where we share ideas and our love of all things Smash!
I noticed someone had covered their book in a wonderful whimsical style of a little girl flying above the roof tops and loved it!

So thought I would have a little go myself at making my own as she said it was easy to do :)

So, here's my version...

This idea was not my own, and has been copied so full credit for the idea has to go to someone else, but I did decide to add a few little touches of my own, like the little hat and flower, sparkles on her shoes and wings, skeleton leaf wings, chimney pots, my own words and a magic wand. I loved making the houses too, cut out of scraps of old paper, the little windows and doors are hand drawn :)

I have to say I really am so chuffed with it, although I think I need to practice drawing faces a little more :)

Anyway, that's all for now, hope you have all had a good week-end, back with more soon!

Happy Crafting!

Hugs
