A few little fabric gifts :)

Morning everyone!

Gosh, two posts in one week! that's pretty amazing for me :)

I just wanted to drop by and say a HUGE thank you to everyone who left such lovely comments on my blog and facebook page about our craft stall (see previous post :)
They were all so lovely, thank you so much!!!

It's such a horrible damp morning here today, so thought it would be a good idea to press on with some craftyness, in readiness for Fridays craft fair.
Not to mention having to replace some snowman soup that was eariler scoffed by the dog!

I don't know about you, but I sometimes find the whole Christmas gift giving thing each year a little stressful.
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE to give gifts, but really don't like the whole rush, dash and panic sense that seems to go with it, not to mention the huge expense!

This year, I decided to take a different appraoch, so thought I would make some of my own gifts (where possible :)

I personally love handmade things (think you might have already guessed that!)
But generally think there is a lot more love and thought in a handmade gift then a set of boxed smellies (nice smellies, being the exception ofcourse :)

Earlier this year, my sister had her first baby, a beautiful little girl!
She was very fortunate and was showered with so many beautiful gifts, that I'm sure will take her up to her 1st birthday and beyond!
So, with this in mind, I decided to make baby Andrea's 1st Christmas gift from us, something a little different, which I hope she will grow to love and treasure once all the other bits and bobs have been outgrown :)

Here is our little gift to baby Andrea.
A little fabric Russian Dolly, filled to the brim with comforting lavender.

Just need to finish her off, as she currently has a pin still stuck in her bottom (sorry dolly!) but once removed and properly stitched she should be a better shape, and lovely and cuddly ...

And here are some of those little fabric kittens I mentioned in my last post.
Thank you so much to the lovely Sandy Leigh for letting me use her wonderful template :) Hope you like them, they are filled with lavender too!

Righty, better press on.
Hope you all have a lovely day, whatever you're up to!
Happy Crafting!
Suzie xxx :)

Your cats are soooo cute, love them :) I'm sure that baby Andrea will adore her Russian dolly that her lovely Aunty Sue made for her, such a thoughtful and special gift.
